Proofreading Services
WHAT I DO
I provide general proofreading for students and professionals as well as legal transcript proofreading for court reporters.
Court reporters are tasked with the critical goal of keeping records of great consequence. My goal is to assist you in producing accurate, prompt, and polished transcripts. As your personal "second pair of eyes" I check for tricky errors such as omissions, correctly spelled names, and proper formatting, as well as internal consistency. I apply my grammar knowledge and skills to transcripts with the understanding that creating readable and accurate verbatim records of the proceedings are of utmost importance.
Srudents and professionals should send an email with a description of your project, and I will respond as soon as possible.

HOW IT WORKS
Court reporters, please send an e-mail with your transcript attached in PDF. If this include a Reporter's Preference Sheet. I will confirm that I have received the job with a quote.
I make corrections to your PDF using iAnnotate for iPad and return my corrections with errors marked in red and highlighted. The process is paperless and efficient.
I consider your individual preferences first, then I rely on Morson’s English Guide for Court Reporters and Good Punctuation/Bad Grammar by Margie Wakeman Wells as my primary style guides. Additionally, I look to The Gregg Reference Manual, Chicago Manual of Style, and Merriam-Webster’s Unabridged Dictionary to check every questionable situation.
